What happened to GPS-Store.net?

In May 2008 we rebranded the business to be LocationStore.com. We did this because we wanted to stand out from the competition and to reflect the direction of the industry. Many electronic devices are adding GPS functionality and GPS devices are adding new functions, but what ties it all together is location!

Who are you?

What is your logo?

Our logo is a stylized compass. While some mega-corporations utilize Hoshin Kanri (Japanese term, loosely translated meaning ‘compass planning’) for their Six Sigma management plans, we have our logo guiding us along the right path! If you think we’re doing well (or not so well), let us know; email feedback@LocationStore.com.

Will you provide a GPS to my non-profit?

We really enjoy giving back to the community. Unfortunately we have a limited budget for donations. Please email a request to customerservice@LocationStore.com and we will see what we can do. 501(C)(3) organizations that reach our target audience, are in the Austin, Texas area, or address the issue of homeless pets, take precedence in our selection process.

Billing and Payment

I think that I’ve been billed twice for my order?

Please check to see if one of the charges is a “pending” or “authorization” charge. Both “pending” and “authorization” charges occur when we initially contact your financial institution to verify your name and address. These charges expire automatically within several business days.If you have checked with your financial institution and it is not an “authorization” charge, please contact Customer Service so that we can research the issue.

I see GPS STORE NET on my credit card rather than LocationStore.com?

We are currently in the process of transitioning our merchant services from our ‘old’ name to our ‘new’ name. We apologize for the confusion.

In what states do you charge sales tax?

We currently charge sales tax on orders to Texas addresses. However, due to changing legislation we unfortunately may soon be required to collect sales tax on orders to New York state and California. We support legislative measures that simplify or streamline sales tax for online retailers.

What if my shipping address is different than my billing address?

When placing your order, please be sure that you shipping address is on file with your credit card company or financial institution. As part of our procedure verify your order, we contact your financial institution to verify that the ship to address is on file. If we are unable to verify the address, your order will be placed on hold while we attempt to contact you.

What if I want to pay by check?

We do not currently accept personal checks or ACH credits. If you do not want to pay by credit card, we do accept Money Orders, Cashier’s Checks, and Wire Transfers; please contact Customer Service if you wish to pay using one of these methods.

What method of payment do you accept?

For Consumers: Credit Card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Diners Club), Money Order, Cashier’s Checks, or Wire Transfer
For Businesses: All of the above but also see Special Solutions for Business
For Government: All of the above but also see Special Solutions for Government

Orders

When will my order ship?

Most orders are shipped within one business day. Orders received before 1 PM CST (GMT -06:00hr) are usually shipped the same day.

When will my order get here?

For orders shipped within the United States:

Standard Shipping: Between 3 to 7 business days
Expedited Shipping: One business day
For orders shipped outside the United States:
International Standard Shipping: 5 to 14 business days
International Expedited Shipping: 2 to 4 business days

Please note: Delivery times stated above are estimates. The shipping company (DHL, UPS, FedEx) is responsible for the ultimate delivery of your order. When your order is shipped, you will be provided a tracking number in your order confirmation email.

What if I ordered the wrong item?

If the item has not yet shipped, please contact LocationStore as soon as possible to cancel the order. Once the item has shipped, however, you are required to follow the terms of our Return Policy.

What if my order has been placed on hold?

Orders meeting certain criteria are placed on hold for review by Customer Service. We will attempt to contact you within one business day or you may contact us directly.

What if my order has been cancelled?

Please contact Customer Service.

Shipping

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. We are happy to ship your product virtually anywhere in the world. International shipments are made via DHL, UPS, or FedEx. Shipments to APO addresses are made via USPS Priority mail. Please see our Shipping page for more details.

Please be advised we no longer ship products to Singapore, Indonesia, Afghanistan or Nigeria.

Do you ship you to APO addresses?

Yes. All shipments to APO address are shipped by USPS Priority mail. Please note that there is a flat $35.00 shipping cost for shipping to APO addresses.

Do you ship you to PO Boxes, Couriers or Freight Forwarders?

No. We do not ship to PO Boxes, Couriers or Freight Forwarders. Orders with these addresses will be canceled.

I would like to pick up my order or use my own delivery service.

Customer pick up is not offered at this time.

Where will my order ship from?

We utilize a number of fulfillment centers across the continental United States in order to provide you the best possible service. However, most orders will ship from fulfillment centers in New Jersey.

What if my order arrived damaged?

If the item you received is damaged, do not accept it from the carrier. If the item has already been accepted, please contact Customer Service to arrange an exchange.

How did you do your video reviews?

We recorded our video reviews on a Sony HVR-A1U HDV camcorder and edited them with Final Cut Express. We host our videos on Blip.tv. If you are interested in video blogging, Blip.tv has an excellent guide.

Who designed your site?

The visual design of the site was created by Rob Spangler of Groove Commerce in April 2008. We have been very happy with our ongoing business relationship with “the Groove” and highly recommend them.
